Previously, Jennifer wrote Crochet Style - a book full of fun and textured patterns for adults with a few children's sizes included. As you might guess, in Baby & Kids Crochet Style Jennifer focuses on patterns for the littles - but she's included lots of patterns that go all the way up to adult sizes!

Inside Baby & Kids Crochet Style, there are three chapters: Heirloom Keepsakes & Baby Shower Gifts, Photography Props & Nursery Decor, and Big Kids & Cold Weather Accessories. There's also a handy stitch abbreviations guide and an index for making things super easy to find!

If you've made one of Jennifer's patterns before, you know that they are well written - and thorough! Her instructions may be wordier than you are used to with other designers - but you won't have any questions, as they are clear and descriptive. There are lots of notes and checkpoints to keep you right on track.

Indeed, all the info you need to make each pattern is included - and the yarn listing talks about the size and weight of yarn for each pattern, rather than identifying a specific brand or line. So it's a great book to grab and use up what's in your stash!

I couldn't resist giving one of the patterns a try, so I made the Snow Flurry Baby Bonnet! Here's the original:

And here's the one I made using Red Heart Chic Sheep by Marly Bird and a Furls J hook! All I needed was a bit of leftover yarn from the Chic Moves Poncho. Baby projects are such a great way to use up leftover yarn! Since I don't have a tiny little one myself, this one is going on the donate pile - but a copy of this book is staying with me!
