Crochet Hats in Every Size with babé crochet Hat Templates! Giveaway on Moogly!

Hat season is on the horizon, and that means it's the perfect time for another babé crochet Hat Templates giveaway! Any time I go to make or design a crochet hat, I pull out my set of templates, knowing that I'll get the right fit, every time, no math needed! Most recently, I used them to help create the Woven Warmth Hat - they never stay idle for long! They work just as well for knitters, so check out this amazing tool for all hat makers, and enter to win a set of your own here on Moogly - we're giving away a set each to TWO lucky winners!

Disclaimer: This giveaway is sponsored by babé crochet. All opinions are my own.

New to the babé crochet Hat Templates?

If you haven't spotted these before, you are in for a treat! They revolutionize the hat making process, making it so you don't have to consult charts or tape measures or try it on again and again (though that might be part of the fun). babé crochet hat templates tell you how big (or small) to make your hats to fit every size - no math or tape measures needed! Here's a video I made on TikTok with more info on how they work. It was for a previous giveaway... but this one is just the same, with a later date!

@mooglyblog babé crochet hat templates are a life saver. 3 sets need new homes, anywhere in the world, but only until November 28, 2023 😉🌏🥳 @babecrochetco #mooglyblog #crochet #hats #crochethats #learntocrochet #fyp ♬ Chill Day - LAKEY INSPIRED

These are genuinely ridiculously easy to use. Working your hat top-down (crown to brim), put the center of your first round over the hole. Then, you match the size of your flat circle to the top of the curve. Once that is achieved, work even until it's the length of the template. This works for bucket hats too - I also used them to create the Casual Bucket Hat!

Making a Bucket Hat with babé crochet Hat Templates

No more fussing about sizing! Instead, you can grab the template for the size of the hat you're making and toss it in your project bag. If you crochet for a big family - or craft fairs - you can put together a set of templates with your most needed sizes to whip them up faster than ever! Great for all your holiday travel and vacations!

    Babé Crochet Hat Templates

By Once, Use It for Life

I've been using them for years - ever since I first learned about them! And I can tell that the set I have will last my entire crochet career, and keep getting used. These hat templates are made from strong plastic and each is embossed with its "Tool Number." You can see how these work on the chart below. You'll get a chart with each set, as well as a wire ring to keep the templates and chart organized, and a tutorial on how to use the templates.

Each full set includes baby to adult head sizes from Newborn all the way up to Adult XL (Head circumferences of 34.95cm up to 61.6cm -- 13 ¾" up to 24 ¼’) - perfect!

The smallest hats I have made are for my granddaughter's dolls. The dolls are 12 inches or so so heads are tiny.

Our family runs a community organization that works to bring support and resources for NICU families. We also crochet items for charitable donation. The smallest hat I've ever made was for a NICU baby...which fit a little one about 2 to 3 lbs. <3

I've made numerous preemie hats over the years. The largest was for a woman with multiple braids encircling her head. Which if you need to make one, I suggest something with lots of stretch so it can be worn when the braids are taken down as well.

Have only ever made one hat so far. Used a too-small knitting room to make a hat for my 8y/o daughter out of Bernat Blanket. She's now using it as a basket to hold a bunch of her knick-knacks & trinkets. ;-D

Will try making one w/ a larger loom at a to-be-determined later date.

Smallest hats are tiny witches hats that I made for pencil witches, gifts for my friend to pass out to her 1st grade class. The largest would be a mad hatter hat for a costume.

The smallest hat I've made for a person was a preemie an for a doll was a Barbie hat. The largest I've made was an accident, and would only fit a giant! But I normally make adult medium.

When I was a teenager I learned to crochet, and I made hats for gifts. I made a hat by request for a friend of my brother-in-law. He had trouble finding hats to fit his big head, so that was the biggest hat I've ever made 🙂

I haven’t had much opportunity to make small hats. The smallest I ever made was a knitted child-sized hat that just fit my then six-year-old niece. It came out smaller than intended with my first knit colourwork being too tight, but it ended up working out perfectly.

Do cat hat attempts count? If so, that would be my smallest. Largest was a hunting cap complete with ear flaps for an extra large man. I do a lot of chemo caps and hats so this would really help me with that!
