The latest two upsizes for the Sven Sweater are finally finished. They've been written, tested, verified, tried on, and now it's ready to publish! Perfect for boys AND girls, this is a great go to sweater pattern for any baby or toddler.
The Sven Sweater pattern now includes 4 sizes: 6mths, 12 mths, 18 mths and 2T! It's been re-written in several places to make the instructions even easier to follow, and now there are two support videos to help you along: the Tapestry Crochet tutorial and the Mattress Stitch tutorial, both of which are linked in the PDF for easy reference.
If you purchased the Sven Sweater pattern before, don't worry - these new sizes and upgrades are included in your prior purchase, and you should be getting an email or private message that you've got an updated PDF to download for free! Or you can head straight to the site you purchased it from and download the new file right away. If you're purchasing the pattern for the first time, you will of course have all 4 sizes at your fingertips immediately.
The Sven Sweater pattern is an intermediate level pattern, but a determined beginner with a drive to learn could make this pattern - and of course I'm just an email away, and always ready to help! This pattern is just $3.99 for all 4 sizes, and that will include any future (child size) up-sizing as well! I just finished the Eloise sweater. It is a lovely styled pattern. Love the hem line. I crocheted it in fall colors.
The pattern was easy to follow. Just a little "thinking" was needed to make the pleats.
I can't wait to see the little girl modeling it on her way to pre school.

I just finished this wonderful cardigan in 2T for my granddaughter in a lovely Maize, pink and white. I would love to have some larger sizing so I can make more as she grows. I really enjoyed putting it together. The pattern was well written and easy to follow. I did make one minor adjustment....at the sleeve ends, I did the last two rows as single crochet rather than half double to tighten them up just a little and give them a neat finish. This also helps so little fingers don't get stuck. This sweater would be very simple to line with a light flannel as well if one was so inclined. I would not put lining in the sleeves, just the body to provide some wind protection and early winter/spring warmth. Thank you for a lovely pattern!
