The Simple Flower Egg Cozy is sized to fit standard large eggs - or you can fill them with candy! They're very easy to make, and are just as springy as it gets!
Whip up a Dozen Simple Flower Egg Cozies!
I used odds and ends of Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie to make these egg cozies, but Lily Sugar'n Cream or Red Heart Super Saver works too - any worsted yarn you have on hand!

US - G, 4.00mm hook - Furls
20 yds Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie (100% cotton; 4/Medium/UK 10-12 ply)
Colorways shown: Lime (A), Coral, Caribbean, Lemony(B)
Stitch Markers - Clover
Gauge: 1.5" across after Rnd 4
Size: Fits one large egg; approximately 3" across at widest point x 1.5" tall when standing

Notes:
This pattern is worked in a spiral, do not join with a slip stitch at the end of each round unless indicated, and only ch when indicated. Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each rnd to help keep track.
Pm - place marker
Instructions
Leaves Rnd 1: With Color A, make a magic circle, ch 1, sc 6 in the ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *Sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st; rep from * around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: *2 sc in the next st, sc in the next 2 sts; rep from * around; turn. Remove hook from active loop, pm to secure. (24 sc)
Flower Rnd 1: With Color B, working entire round in blo, join to last st of Rnd 4 with sc, sc in each rem st around. (24 sc)
Rnd 2 - 7: Sc in each st around. At end of Rnd 7, sl st in next st, break yarn, seamless join to next st.
Leaves Rnd 5: Turn, to work from the top of the flower, and insert hook in active loop of Color A. Working entire round in unused loops of Rnd 4, *skip next st, 6 dc in next st,** skip next st, sc in next st; rep from * around finishing last rep at **, break yarn and seamless join to st after next st.

Thank you for your Simple Flower Egg Cosy pattern. They were so easy to make. I just skipped the last 2 rows of single crochet on the flower and made a row of petals. They turned out so pretty. I put a plastic Easter egg filled with candy inside each one and gave them as gifts to friends.
