The Grapey Goodness Wine Bag is a gorgeous one-skein luxury bottle cozy that will take any gift to the next level! Featuring Red Heart Unforgettable, it's perfect for last-minute occasions! This pattern was originally published in I Like Crochet Magazine in 2014, and as one of my holiday gifts to you, I'm now sharing it for free on Moogly!

    Why Wine Cozies?

The Grapey Goodness Wine Bag is a charming and practical project that combines form and function. It's the perfect accessory for gifting a bottle of wine or bringing a touch of handmade elegance to your next gathering. A handmade wine bag turns a simple bottle of wine into a thoughtful, personal gift. It shows you didn't just stop by the store on the way - even though you might have had time to crochet it on the road!

Make it with just one skein of yarn!

Wine bags are small and portable, making them a great option for short-term projects or crafting on the go. I used Red Heart Unforgettable for this pattern, but you can use whatever worsted weight yarn you like. Solids, variegates, and self-striping will all look amazing!

This project doesn’t require much yarn, so it’s an excellent way to use up leftovers from previous projects while creating something practical. Add extra flair with embellishments like a crochet grape cluster applique, a decorative button, tassel, or switch out the crocheted ribbon for a lovely cloth one around the neck!
