Summertime means light layers and fun in the sun - so a Seaglass Summer Cardi Kit Giveaway seems just right! During spring cleaning, I discovered exactly 2 skeins of Red Heart It's A Wrap Rainbow in Seaglass in my stash. So I've decided to pair them with a PDF copy of the Seaglass Summer Cardi, and give them away to one lucky winner, right here on Moogly!

A Lovely Summer Crochet Pattern

The Seaglass Summer Cardi is a simple beach or swimsuit cover-up - that is just as beautiful back on solid land! When I began designing the Seaglass Summer Cardi, I was thinking exclusively in terms of a swimsuit coverup. But by the time it was done, I knew I wanted to wear it everywhere (and you can bet I was NOT modeling it in my swimsuit haha)! It's still great for the pool though - even after I soaked it for blocking, it dried super fast!

The Seaglass Summer Cardi is truly one size fits all. It fits up to a 68" bust - and stretches too! Made with just 2 cakes of Red Heart It's a Wrap Rainbow, it's simple enough to be your first garment if you haven't made one before! Of course, the pattern is free here on Moogly - and as a PDF on Ravelry and Etsy. So I'll be sending a PDF copy to the winner of this giveaway, along with the yarn!
And Two Skeins of Hard-To-Get Yarn!

This pattern can be made with any yarn of the same weight, and I've given a few suggestions on the original pattern. Because Red Heart It's A Wrap Rainbow has been discontinued! (Insert sad trombone noises here.) I did a bit of searching, and found a few skeins on sites like Etsy going for as much as $20 each! So I'm extra happy to be able to send out the last two skeins of Seaglass in my stash to one very lucky winner!

I've never made a wearable outside of hats/ear warmers and scarves, so I'm super excited to try something like this.
Though I have to say that my favorite thing to make is blankets. I'm always cold during the bitter winters. I miss living near the ocean, so if you're looking for suggestions, a nice ocean themed blanket is my vote.

Love the look of this cardi! I have a friend going through chemo right now. I'd love to knit or crochet a cute hat that would be comfortable for her but not too warm since it isn't really beanie weather right now.

Kim Lennie says
I love the cardi and the yarn is so pretty. It is so sad that it has been discontinued. Good Luck to All!!
Christine Voss says
I am terrible about thinking what to do next. My suggestion for something I guess may not be new. I would love something like a poncho but not so big. I would love something that just slips over the head, has a smaller neck hole that sits no lower then maybe mid arm or waist to put on while I watch TV and crochet. I don't want a full sweater cause to hot but my shoulders get cold in the evening. I could also use a small crossbody bag for a trip to Florida. Big enough for small wallet and phone that doesn't need to be lined so things don't fall out. Sorry so long. Thanks Moogly!
Hannelore Hauke says

Taryn says
Maybe something like a floral openwork sweater design, or a fairy tale inspired wearable.
Debra says
Oh, goodness. I have a couple of skeins of this that I've been trying to figure out what to do with. I don't want another shawl. And then I see this giveaway. Yep, now I know what I'm making.
As for what I'd like to see -- I would love to see some patterns for stash busting. Like what do I do with two skeins of Red Heart Unforgettable. Or the leftover skein and a half of Bernat Blanket. Or two skeins of Bernat Lattice. Just to name some hypothetical things that totally aren't in my "how do I use this?" pile, because I never buy random yarn with no clue how I'll use it. Nope, never.
Ayshea says
I’m new to Moogly, so I’m not really familiar with the patterns already available. However, I always like a good cover up for summer. So I can wear a sleeveless top and be more comfortable with not having my arms exposed and some coverage for my belly, while still getting the advantage of sleeveless items in hot weather.
Karen Bailey says
I’ve always loved this pattern! I wish i would have bought this yarn before it was discontinued. I love different swim cover ups.
Miriam Lauer says

From the Middle blanket patterns in textured stitches. I love that Mikey did a series of C2C in different stitches, but I prefer to work my blankets in mindless rounds. I have moss stitch, and (finally) found one for alpine stitch that I am trying now, but would love a series of them!

Abigail says
I love the entire It's a Wrap line, so this is a super exciting giveaway! If I had any pattern suggestions I would say definitely more lightweight and hot-weather-appropriate things (I live in a climate that really doesn't have sweater weather, so it can be difficult to find patterns for things I can actually wear outside!)

I'd like to have a pattern for a very light weight afghan but one that doesn't have many open spaces between stitches. Most of the patterns I've made are either very heavy or have so many open stitches the afghan doesn't keep you warm.
Sand says
I would love to see pattens for really long capes.
