The very first granny stitch project I ever worked on was a granny square cardigan for my mom, using her fave colors, golden yellow, orange, and brown. I also added deep pockets and a cool wooden button with flower designs painted onto it to give it that retro look. She cherishes that cardi, it gives her nostalgic feelings and makes her happy when she slips it on.

The first thing I ever learned to crochet was a chain when I was 10, and then a slip stitch, she taught me to slip stitch and also single crochet granny squares she had made up together into a small square. It didn't come out very big, so maybe a dolly blanket. But it was the start of who I am as a crocheter, lol.

She loves wearing "vintage" looking clothes even if they aren't truly vintage. There's also a granny square vest pattern that I love that my 16 year old great-niece could rock. It would have been about 60 years ago, and it was probably just two or three squares to "help" Mom with whatever she was making. I don't even remember if she really used them, but she was the kind of Mom who would have, just so I could feel proud. She might have tidied them up first though.

I have heard mixed reviews about this product, so I would love to win so that I can judge for myself.

My first granny square was a flowered and popcorn, granny square blanket that I made for my sister in the 80s. I was excited that I recently found the pattern on Etsy.

I'm finding this yarn pretty useful. Working on a vest right now, and have another granny square project brewing in my mind. Thanks for the opportunity.

In the 70s' I made a granny vest. Years later I found the pamphlet in a destash, it brought back good memories!

The first granny square project was a multi-colored afghan waaaaay back in the 60s.

My first granny square project was a bedspread for my daughter's bed with bright colors featuring pink and white.
