Excerpt and Review

A Bit About the Author
Author Alleshen Hamilton is the creator of GheeBeans Crafty and she has an Etsy Shop! This is her first book, and she is a bit of a mystery - no author blurb on Amazon or on her blog! One thing I do know - she loves crocheting and describers herself as "That sea critter obsessed weirdo" - so I like her so far! 😉 And she was kind enough to share an expert from her book - the pattern for the Reginald the Reef Squid!
Reginald the Reef Squid
This pattern was designed by Alleshen Hamilton, and can be found in , copyright 2025! And because this is a full-length amigurumi pattern, I've decided to put it on a separate page here on Moogly - CLICK HERE to go to the Reginald the Reef Squid pattern - and keep scrolling to read the rest of the review and enter the giveaway!

Now, I would love to add my insight here... but this book got caught up in holiday shipping, and didn't arrive in time for me to write my review! I'll be sure to make a video tour of it and insert it here when it arrives. UPDATE - It's here!

That said, I was able to view the first few pages on Amazon, as well as the Reginald the Reef Squid pattern! And I like what I see!

Judging based on what I can see, the patterns are written in "amigurumi style" - abbreviated, without extra verbiage. If you're familiar with amigurumi or an experienced crocheter, you'll be able to follow along! I do recommend always reading any tips sections in the book to make sure you understand the assumed things - like whether you're joining and chaining or working in a spiral! The photos look great, and the creatures are adorable!
