The Caron Cakes debut each year exclusively at Michaels stores, and this year's Macchiato Cakes are lots of fun! I decided to put one skein of the Atomic Aqua colorway to use - but I can't wait to see your versions in all the other colors!

NOTES
If you prefer to skip the FDC stitch, you can instead ch 83, skip the 3 chs closest to the hook (counts as first dc), and dc in each remaining chain across.
If you prefer to skip the CSDC stitch, you can instead chain 3 or use your preferred double crochet substitute.
Perfect Point Cowl Instructions
Row 1: FDC 81, turn. (81 sts)
Rows 2 - 22: CSDC in first st, *skip next st, (sc, dc) in next st; rep from * across, turn.
Row 23: CSDC in first st, dc in each rem st across, ch 1, 2 sc in side of dc just made, sc evenly across rem ends of rows through Row 1; break yarn leaving a 6 foot long tail for sewing and pull through last st to finish off.
Assembly:
Blocking: Wet or steam block to approx 13.5" x 36".
Fold for Seaming: Lay out the piece as shown below, with the long tail in the upper left corner.
Fold the right half of the piece to the middle, pointing down, as shown below.
Fold the left half of the piece to the middle, pointing down, so that the corners meet, as shown below. Use stitch markers to match up stitches along each edge where pieces overlap.
Seaming: Use the long tail to whip stitch the overlapping edges together, moving from right to left.
Add Buttons (Optional): If desired, sew buttons to front of cowl through both layers. Before sewing them in permanently, be sure that they are not placed in a way that keeps the cowl from opening up to wear.
