Moogly 2019 Holiday Gift Guide for Crocheters
Yarnspirations Crochet Kits – You’ve been going to Yarnspirations for the free patterns for years – but have you noticed that they are also available as kits?
You can purchase the yarn and hooks for the size needed, print out the free matching pattern on nice paper, and create a super cute custom gift kit! If your giftee doesn’t already know how to crochet, be sure to include a link to the Moogly How to Crochet Video Series – or a promise to teach them yourself!
Furls Crochet Hooks and more – I love almost everything I’ve tried from Furls, and you can see some of my favorites in this year’s Furls Gift Giving Spotlight! There’s a huge range of prices here, and something for nearly every budget.
Clover Quick Locking Stitch Markers Set – I’ve tried a lot of crochet stitch markers over the years, and these are always my first choice. They are easy to open, easy to use, and come with a handy case in multiple sizes!
You’ll spot these in many Moogly video tutorials. And at $10, it’s a great price point for gifting something they’ll use almost every day!
Babé Crochet Hat Templates – What crocheter wouldn’t love a tool that helps them make perfectly-sized top-down hats every time?
Moogly 2019 Holiday Gift Guide for Knitters
Yarnspirations Knit Kits – It’s not just the crochet patterns that can be kitted – put together a custom kit for that knitting friend here! Of course, they might appreciate a how-to knit link too… or a promise of time spent with you!
Susan Bates Extendable Stitch Holders – Extending to hold single and/or double-point needles, every knitter wants to NOT lose their stitches – this gift might save the day!
ChiaoGoo Spin Cables – If you find a twisted cable driving you crazy, give these Spin cables a try! I really enjoyed giving these a try at a show earlier this year!
Knitting 2020 Day to Day Calendar – A classic! “With exciting new designs and sheep thrills, the Knitting 2020 Day-to-Day Calendar contains more than 100 patterns from some of today’s favorite Ravelry and Etsy designers and yarn shops. Plus, patterns include generic yarn weights to make it easy to substitute favorite fibers from your stash.” (Alas, I couldn’t find a crochet version this year – hopefully, it’s yet to come!)
Moogly 2019 Holiday Gift Guide for Crocheters *and* Knitters
ShaggyBaggy Storage Bins – I have one of these that I’ve been using to “kit” my MooglyCAL for the past few years. It’s pretty, sturdy, and looks good as new! Pair with any of the Yarnspirations DIY knit or crochet kits for someone very special!
Knitters Pride Knit Blockers – These are one of my very favorite finds of 2019! I love how much easier blocking is with these – faster and straighter, too!
Yarnspirations Yarn Bowls – Made from highly polished Mangowood, these bowls were all the rage at an event I attended – in high demand! The wood tone is lovely, and they are very durable!
Chetnanigans Blocking Boards – If you knit or crochet motifs or squares, these blocking boards are a luxurious way to get those perfect edges every time! I use my 12″ blocker on every MooglyCAL square!
Yarn Love Pencil Set from Global Backyard – These are another amazing stocking stuffer idea! “Our seven pencil set has seven different sayings for fiber fans. Are you “Feeling Superfine”? Perhaps it’s a “Yarned and Dangerous” kind of day. Or maybe you need to achieve “Just One More Row.” Any way you slice it, “Serious Ballers” will be sure to appreciate this little collection. Fun to pair with our journals or add to a gift for your knitting or crocheting BFFs.”
Clover Swatch Ruler and Gauge for Crochet and Knitting – I love that this set includes both needle and hook gauges! And the swatch ruler is my new favorite way to measure for that gauge as well. This is another great crafty stocking stuffer or gift!
Moogly Favorites for Crafters
Cricut Maker – I love exploring what I can do with my Cricut Maker! There are so many ideas available from Cricut and other bloggers too! This is an investment that can help you make gifts for others for years to come!
Leisure Arts Diamond Art Kits – Do you love cross-stitch, puzzles, and relaxing with the family? These kits are fun, easy to jump and out of, and perfect for all ages! You can get creative with the final projects too! (And be sure to check out the Leisure Arts Gift Guide for even more great ideas!)
Winnie’s Picks Custom Paint By Numbers Kits – Did you know you can order custom paint by number kits? From their favorite pets to special memories, this gift touches the heart – and is a lot of fun too!
OttLite Desk Lamps or Mini Flip – Good lighting is important no matter what the craft! I am a huge fan of OttLite – I have the desk lamps all over my office. And I always have a Mini Flip in my notions bag so I can see on the go!
Bluprint Premium Subscription with Kits – Really want to give the gift that keeps on giving? How about a monthly… or even a year’s subscription to the new Bluprint Premium?
Each Premium Subscription includes access to thousands of crafting classes, projects and patterns for all skill levels, PLUS free shipping on all US orders from the Bluprint shop… and KITS! I recently did a live unboxing of the crochet kit but there is also knitting, embroidery, and sewing. This would be such an amazing gift to give or recieve!
I hope you enjoyed the Moogly 2019 Holiday Gift Guide! Some of my favorite finds from over the year are here – and I’m excited to see what 2020 brings! Thanks so much for reading – and good luck with your lists this year!
