The Loopy Love stitch pattern has inspired lots of patterns here on Moogly. But there was one more thing I wanted to try with it - a scarf that suits both men and women! Introducing the Loopy Love Scarf!

The Loopy Love Scarf is versatile, fast, and fun to make! The Lion Brand Scarfie used in this pattern has great long color changes, creating a beautiful gradient effect with only 2 ends to weave in when you're done. The pattern includes instructions for 3 styles: Cowl, Infinity Scarf, and Standard Scarf - all of which use only one skein!

Simple, fun, and fast! I was able to whip up the infinity scarf shown in the photos in one afternoon. I love this take on the Loopy Love stitch pattern - using self striping yarn means no color changes and extra ends to weave in, and gives it a look that's great for both men and women! I hope you enjoy this free scarf pattern!

I can't wait to try this pattern. I love you can create 3 different styles from it. I have yet to work with scarfie yarn so this looks like a good pattern to try something new1 Thanks Tamara

Hi love the pattern and I've started a baby blanket, but noticed in row 2 you forgot to put the sc in before you do the chain 2 🙂 I only picked it up after watching your tutorial.
I will post photos of my completed project, once again many thanks 🙂

Hello Tamara, thank you for another lovely pattern. I have tried the scarf version but have found that when I make the foundation chain of 23 I get 8 chain-3 loops when the pattern says I should have 7 - do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? I have done it a couple of times now and repeatedly get 8 loops, I am definitely leaving the 2 chains between starting the next loop....help!

I got 8 loops until I discovered the pattern omitted the last stitch should be a sc.

I have some scarfie yarn as well as another bulky yarn. I wanted to do a blanket mixing the two. I like this pattern on the scarf and wondered if it would work well for a blanket . I don't want the blanket to be "too airy".. What are your thoughts on this?
Also, how many would I need to chain to do a throw? In other words does this pattern require a certain multiple?

      Thanks!

Hello, love this pattern and thank you for sharing!! How can I make it wider than 7", or if you can tell me the multiples to start off the foundation chain, thank you!

      Hi Tamara,
Do I have to block the scarf if I use Scarfie?
A friend from America bought it for me because I couldn't find it here in the Netherlands.
So, I've never worked with this yarn before.

It does have a bit of wool content, so it wouldn't hurt! I wouldn't bother pinning it out - just lay flat and reshape to dry, like a purchased sweater. 🙂
