I've been playing with Jeans® a lot this last month - and I used it to design the Denim Ombre Wrap and the Weekend Bucket Bag, both free patterns here on Moogly. And I discovered just how much I love this new yarn! It's shockingly soft and drapey, and feels wonderful, with not a bit of scratchiness or roughness - and I'd never guess it's 100% acrylic!
And the Jeans® name doesn't refer to how it's made - it's all about these gorgeous colors! They all have great yardage too - 246 yds a ball!
Jeans® is hard to resist, both in the skein and in finished projects. I got to see a few finished garments at a trade show earlier this year, but it wasn't until I had the yarn running through my fingers and coming off my hook that I was able to really see what it's all about.
Jeans® held together really well after plenty of frogging, without fraying or fuzzing, and the finished items are all holding up beautifully! I have a basement office and craft room, so I spend most of the day in the cold and damp, no matter what the weather outside - and the wrap I made has been so warm and cozy!
But it's so soft and drapey I was a little worried when I started making the bag - would this soft stuff hold up? I shouldn't have worried! Jeans® made a beautiful bag, again without any pilling or fuzzing (even with all the frogging I did when I stayed up too late one night designing...).
