A Bit About the Designer

You could crochet a wardrobe worth of sweaters with the free crochet patterns on her site! Here's a bit about Molly, the designer behind Kiks + Jack Crochet, in her own words:

Kiks + Jack Crochet is a blog that started from a crazy love for yarn....and a realization that crochet was the perfect hobby for busy people who feel like "they have no time for a hobby!" Crocheting my first sweater (years ago) between meetings, whilst on the phone, waiting for appointments and chatting with family, was incredibly eye opening. I felt creative, fulfilled and excited to know that I had made my own clothing with time I didn't even know I had!

So for the next few years, the goal was to share this crochet joy to all my friends who wanted to do something creative, but felt they were too busy. To see them move from "I can't crochet, I'm not coordinated" to "I can't believe I'm doing this, I'm making something gorgeous!" was heartwarming. Knowing they could eventually complete their sweater with 5 minutes or 5 hours to spare, was such an incredible thing for them to know and experience.

I decided to start www.kiksandjackcrochet.com with help from a family full of crocheters, knitters, seamstresses and photographers, but primarily with my daughter who has a great eye for modern fashion. All our patterns are based on clothing we want in our wardrobe, and what we actually want to wear on an everyday basis. Often, our patterns just start with a simple love for a specific type of yarn!

We hope that other crocheters around the world like our designs too. Our goal is that they be inspired to pick up a hook and make something beautiful!
