Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway

Published: Feb 3, 2020 by Tamara Kelly · 487 Comments

The Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set is a gorgeous luxury set of hooks and accessories in a beautiful case. It's a stunning set that is a joy to use, and we're giving away one set on Moogly!

    Tunisian Crochet is Trending!

Tunisian crochet has been growing in popularity lately, and I have made several Tunisian stitch tutorials. I didn't have this set at the time though - and oh how I wish I had!

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set - see inside on Moogly!

    A Beautiful Vegan Leather Case

The first thing you notice about this set is the gorgeous case! Measuring 10" x 7.75", it feels wonderful, looks great, and the stitching speaks to the great quality!

The case holds the entire set of Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hooks, with some great bonus features! My favorite is the way it folds up into a standing display for the hooks - and to hold your pattern or notes! More on that later...

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set - standing up with it's special straps

Eco-Friendly Wood Crochet Hooks with Laser Imprinted Sizes

The Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set includes 12 hooks, from E to 12mm. In metric, that's 3.5, 3.75, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, and 12mm. And did you spot the lovely wooden pen at the end that's included too? So handy and thoughtful!

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway - the hooks section

All the hooks are made from eco-friendly laminated birch wood, which is nice and slick for the yarn to slide on. And the sizes are laser imprinted on, so they won't wear off!

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway - engraved sizes closeup

The hooks are inline style, with a good point to help you find all those different loops for Tunisian stitches. They have a deep throat to grab the yarn with ease, and I found using them to be a real delight!

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway - hook closeup

To assemble the hook for use, you pick the cord size you want and an end cap. Then, use the cord keys to help screw them together securely.

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway - assembly closeups

Storage Pocket and Pattern Holder with Magnets

Right inside the front flap is the generous storage pouch. This pouch comes pre-stocked with 4 cords in 3 sizes - 24", 32" (2), and 40". There are also 8 end-caps, 4 cord keys, and a set of cord connectors so you can go as wide as you want! And bonus, there are a variety of stitch markers too!

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway - pouch inside flap with accessories

Here's a closeup of that cord connector - so handy when you want to make a blanket! They don't call it Afghan crochet for nothing!

Knitter's Pride Ginger Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set Giveaway - cable connector

The hooks get the middle section, but that last bit doesn't go to waste! There is a magnetic strip and 3 small magnets included that stick to that portion of the case. This makes it a great pattern holder, or note holder. And you can stick your yarn needle or cord key right to the magnets while you crochet!

(And there we see the loops that help it do the standing up we saw before!)

I just bought a cheap set of Tunisian hooks for an earwarmer pattern I've been dying to try! The hooks I bought are just ok, they have some rough spots that will need to be sanded before I can use them. These ones look amazing! I've never been tempted to try tunisian until recently, I think I'm really going to enjoy it!

I'm looking forward to learning everything I can in regards to crocheting & fiber. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a recipient of an amazingly beautiful kit. Try using a MUCH bigger hook - that's the easiest way to combat the curling! Another way is to use a purl row at the beginning. 🙂

A size I Tunisian hook came with my starter pack 16 years ago, and I didn’t use it for a long time! I did try Tunisian once or twice, but that was before the recent Tunisian crochet craze, and I didn’t find many interesting patterns with it so I didn’t pursue it any further. Now that there are so many cute patterns out there (or maybe I’m just more aware of them), I’d like to try it some more and this set would be perfect for that!

I have experimented with Tunisian crochet & made some small items e.g. Dishcloth. I like the textures that can be achieved and would love to introduce my daughter, an avid crocheter, to this beautiful extension of the handicraft. By the way, thanks for all your patterns, tutorials and inspiration to develop more skills.

Tunisian crochet is my favorite method of crocheting! I'm fairly new at it and the only hooks I have so far are ones with plastic strings/tubes attached at the end of the hook for making wide projects like blankets! I still need to learn all about the interchangable ones. 🙂

I have done some Tunisan Crochet and love the look of the stitch. I started a Stained Glass afghan in the 70's, stopped and now I want to finish it. But in all my moves I've lost the instructions. Still have the picture though. This needle set would be a dream to use.
