It’s time for February’s Designer Showcase! Once a month I have one of my favorite designers share a bit about themselves, and then I follow it up by sharing my 5 favorite free patterns that they’ve designed! This month I’m excited to share some things from the exciting Ann Mancini-Williams – the blogger and designer behind Glamour4You!
Ann has been designing innovative and unusual crochet patterns for several years now! Here’s what she has to say:
I definitely an Obsessed Fiber Artist! Yarn is one of the most softest, creative, & unique ways to show off WHO you are!! And that is exactly what I LOVE to do!I have been crocheting since I was 5 yo, so for over 33 years! The first thing I remember making was a blanket for my cabbage patch doll! I am definitely a hands-on type of person, so my love of crochet coupled with my love for knowledge fit hand-in-hand & has led me down my path to Designing & opening my own website & store!Designing crochet patterns is the most rewarding profession I could ever think of! Just the process alone gives me such a rush: having an idea in my head, working days & weeks to crochet that idea into reality, then to write the design on paper in clear enough instructions that ANY crocheter can understand & COMPLETE one of my patterns….PURELY PRICELESS!!!I want to SHARE crochet with EVERYONE – this is why I design crochet patterns & have many helpful tutorials & videos in my Crochet School section on my website. Back when I was a child learning to crochet, it was NOT a popular, cool thing to do, but within the last 10 or so years crochet has skyrocketed to be more versatile & definitely NOT for grannies anymore! I want to teach & help everyone to learn to crochet so they can show off THEIR uniqueness & individual personality!Learn, Grow, Rock & LOVE Handmade!!
Ann’s designs are always unique – once you get to know her style, it’s unmistakable! Ann mostly designs paid patterns, and they are well worth it – be sure to check them all out on Ravelry! But she also has some great freebies, which I’ve highlighted here today! Thank you so much for being in the designer showcase Ann!
