A Bit About the Designer

I met Jennifer Ryan of Celtic Knot Crochet at my first-ever Crochet Guild of America Chain Link Conference - where I was quickly roped into helping her do some yarn bombing! She is a great teacher, a fantastic and clever designer, and I'm lucky to call her my friend. Here's a bit more about her in her own words:

Hi! I’m Jennifer Ryan - crochet designer, instructor and blogger at Celtic Knot Crochet.

I’ve been designing for about 10 years and teaching crochet for over 15 years. I share my free patterns at www.celticknotcrochet.com and many crochet tutorials on my YouTube channel here.

I enjoy teaching crochet near my home in New England. I have also taught classes in Ireland and for the CGOA conferences in Manchester, NH, and New Orleans, LA. I love the crochet community we have in the Crochet Guild of America and have really enjoyed designing and implementing the Yarn Bomb projects for some of the conferences. I enjoy showcasing crochet as art in unexpected places, such as a granny square wrapped around a tree or a large mandala on a hula hoop!

I design many crochet wearables, mandalas, jewelry, and home décor items. My favorite projects to design are those with Celtic Knots in them. I offer several Celtic Knot patterns on my blog and I also have over 70 ad-free professional PDF patterns in my Etsy Shop.

When I am not crocheting, I love to spend time outdoors with my family - kayaking, rollerblading, and photographing wildlife.
