I love the creativity and attention to detail in Chanel's designs, and I'm super excited to share her work and learn more about her in this Designer Showcase!
Here's a bit about Chanel in her own words:
Hi! I'm Chanel Beauchamp-Snyder and I'm the amigurumi designer behind cbfiberworks! My crochet journey began in 2016 when my mixed media professor announced one day that she was going to teach us to crochet with wire. From then on I was hooked (pun very much intended). After that initial lesson I started experimenting with shapes and teaching myself how to make amigurumi by watching YouTube tutorials.
In late 2019, I published my first amigurumi pattern and cbfiberworks was born. However, as I started to find my footing as a designer, I realized there were so many things that tripped me up when I first started crocheting. I wanted to find a way to help other amigurumi makers skip over those roadblocks, so in 2021 I started my blog and began creating my own free patterns and tutorials.
I absolutely love the sculptural aspect of amigurumi and I'm always striving to learn something new with each new pattern. My number one goal is to help other crocheters grow their craft and pursue their unique brand of creativity through the magic of amigurumi.
When I'm not crocheting I'm playing Minecraft or reading but I also love watching movies with my husband and cuddling my two dogs. And as a certified coffee addict, whenever I travel I'm always on the lookout for a good local coffee shop.
