A Bit About the Designer

Pam has a wonderful sense of color, and her projects are all just so happy! Here's a bit about Pam in her own words:

Hi! I'm Pam. I immigrated to Australia from Scotland in 2009 and started crocheting after my youngest daughter was born in 2012. I create vibrant, easy-to-follow crochet patterns with super cool, no-fluff stitch photo tutorials that help YOU to live your BEST CROCHET LIFE!

I'm blessed to live just 600 meters from the Pacific Ocean with my husband, two daughters, and three cats. When I'm not crocheting, you'll find me running or walking on the beach or curled up with a good book.

I have crocheted all over Australia, including across the Nullarbor Plain, at the base of Uluru, surrounded by crocodile-infested swamp in the Northern Territory, next to the wood burner in small country towns, under aircon in tropical Far North Queensland, and in many other places! 🙂

I believe we are ALL creative and that creativity is vital to wellbeing. I recently discovered that I am neurodivergent which explains a lot about my ability to hyperfocus for hours straight on designs and yet often get distracted by a new design before getting the earlier one(s) published!

Crochet has been a massive part of my self-care toolkit for over a decade through early motherhood, post-natal depression, marital breakdown and reconciliation, throughout my journey as the primary carer for my neurodiverse family and now into perimenopause on HRT. Vibrant colours bring me so much joy, and crochet's meditative and design aspects are my happy therapy every day! I am eternally grateful for our beautiful yarncraft.
