    Autumn Amore Mittens

    Published: Oct 19, 2018 · Modified: Dec 11, 2020 by Tamara Kelly · 3 Comments

The final pattern for the Autumn Amore Crochet Along is the Autumn Amore Mittens! These moss stitch crochet mittens are quick, cozy, and the pattern includes 3 sizes to fit your family!

Autumn Amore Mittens - DIR 1Disclaimer: Materials provided by Red Heart Yarns and Furls; this post includes affiliate links.

The Autumn Amore Mittens are made with Red Heart Yarns Amore, which is soft and cozy! You can get it on RedHeart.com or at your local Walmart. The Mittens, like all the Autumn Amore CAL patterns, use 3 colors. You need just one ball of each to make the mittens in any of the sizes listed!

Autumn Amore Mittens - DIR 3

The Autumn Amore Mittens are worked in the round - but differently than we've done in the other patterns in the set! And since they are made bottom up, you'll learn how to decrease the moss stitch in the round as well with this pattern!

    NOTES:

These mittens are made in the round. Do not cut the yarn after each round - let it hang on the inside of the mitten and then pull it up and continue crocheting with it as directed.

If you prefer not to use a foundation double crochet, work the given number of total dc in Rnd 1 in a row using your preferred method, then join to work in the round. However, the foundation double crochet is strongly recommended for its stretchiness.

I think there is an error in the teen/adult small on Round 5. The stitch count doesn’t add up to 32 as written. It adds up to 28 sc. If I start with *2sc in the first two stitches (1sc in next stitch, 2sc in next stitch) four times and repeat from * I get a count of 32 sc when I am done. Is that correct?

You are correct, I had a typo on that row! Thank you for letting me know, I've edited the pattern. You guessed correctly - it's 2 sc in each of the first 2 sts. 🙂
