Arctic Amigurumi Review
A Bit About the Author

If you read or collect crochet books, you've probably come across Kristi Simpson before. With Farm Friends Crochet, she partnered with her daughter Kimberly, and in this book, they have paired up again!
"Kristi Simpson is the author of many crochet design publications, including the popular Supersize Crochet Animals, Sweet & Simple Baby Crochet, Adorable Baby Crochet, Ultimate Crochet Nursery, and Crochet Stitch Sampler Baby Blankets. Known for her fresh and modern style, Kristi's patterns have been published in magazines, books, catalogs, and online venues."
"Kimberly Simpson discovered her love for knitting at just sixteen when she chose it for her senior project - she's been crafting ever since. Over the past twelve years, she's explored a variety of creative outlets, from crochet and embroidery to other hands-on crafts that let her imagination come alive. When she's not creating something new, Kimberly enjoys spending time outdoors - whether hiking through nature trails or soaking up the calm of the ocean. A lover of animals and all things natural, she balances her artistic passions with her career as a retail store manager."

Warm up your crochet skills while stitching up cold-weather friends! Written and designed by humans, for humans"

Arctic Amigurumi is designed for beginner to intermediate crocheters, and all the patterns use size 4/worsted weight yarn and a size G/4 mm crochet hook. They are written in US terms, with lots of clear photos and close-ups. At the back of the book is a stitch guide with lots of photos, covering both the basics and special stitches.

Almost every animal in this book has its own adorable little accessory - hats, scarves, sweaters, bows, and more! You can mix and match these to create custom creatures too. So cute!

If you are new to crochet or to amigurumi, this book is a great place to start. Using almost exclusively single crochet stitches, the instructions are fully written out in standard crochet notation, making them easier to read and follow.

If you love amigurumi or arctic animals, I think you'll love Arctic Amigurumi - "No matter the weather, these Arctic pals are ready to be a new best friend for anyone!"
