A New Crafter's Review!
My 18-year-old daughter, Riley, got really excited when she saw this kit and wanted to give it a try! While Riley has always been crafty (she was an amazing cosplayer in high school!), she'd never done embroidery before. Here's what she thought!
This was a really fun first dive into embroidery! As someone who's never even thought about trying it before this was an easy introduction.
The one problem I encountered was that I needed to find a video tutorial for the stitches, but I definitely used the instructions included as a quick reminder of how to do each stitch.
The hardest stitch for me out of all the ones I learned was the French knot, which regrettably is why I have only one terrible knot finished. I wanted to get some nice photos taken before I inevitably ruined the piece.
Regardless, this project gave me plenty of time to catch up on some of the movies I'd had stockpiled to watch on a rainy day. I'm glad I got the chance to try this new activity, and I'm definitely interested in the opportunity to try it again and eventually perfect my French Knot!
