When Bad Things Happen to Good Crocheters: Survival Guide for Every Crocheting Emergency is a brand new book out this year, written by Beth Wolfensberger Singer! It's full of excellent advice, including a tidbit from yours truly! So when they sent me two books as a thank you, I knew what to do... give one of them away to one lucky Moogly reader!

While crochet might not be a life or death situation (at least most of the time)... I think we all know what a "crochet emergency" looks like. Especially at this time of the year! When Bad Things Happen to Good Crocheters is the book that comes to the rescue! I really like the last line on the acknowledgments page...
Minimal angst sounds good to me! Inside When Bad Things Happen to Good Crocheters you'll find chapters as well as an index to help you find the info you need fast.
From everything you need to know about crochet hooks and yarn, to reading charts, to finishing techniques and borders, it's all inside!
And as I mentioned above, Beth got some handy advice to add to the book from me too! There are also tips and tricks from Edie Eckman, Twinkie Chan, and Sandra Paul, and Alicia Paulson!
I really like the way Beth writes - it's informative but fun, not dry or "textbook-y" at all! And that there are a few patterns in the book to try you skills out on as well, for bonus fun!
I'm so happy to have a copy of When Bad Things Happen to Good Crocheters in my hands, and now it's time to get a copy in yours! You can pick up When Bad Things Happen to Good Crocheters online at the following links (at great prices!)...

Thank you for this review and give-a-way 🙂 This looks like a cheery and very helpful book! I love the stitches with symbols overlay image. I use symbols pretty much exclusively and am currently teaching my young step-daughter how to crochet. She can read some of the abbreviation style instructions and is learning the symbol system. This would be a great resource for both of us!
