Tangerine Tango is the Pantone Color of the Year for 2012!
It's gorgeous, and happy, and works year round. Granted, I'm pretty partial to the color - both my kitchen and living room fit the red-orange and orange-red families! But whether or not you're ready to redecorate, you can punch up your wardrobe and your living space with great accessories you make yourself in this fabulous color. Shawls, scarves, bags, purses, afghans, throw pillows, dishcloths... the possibilities are endless. To that end, here are some readily available yarns I found that feature lovely red-orangey Tangerine Tango-ish colors!
The Lion Brand Blog has assembled an entire collection of gorgeous colors, but I think it's their Paprika and Terracotta colorways that come closest. With Tangerine-inspired colors in Lion Cotton, Quick & Cozy, Jiffy, Wool-Ease, Cotton-Ease, Vanna's Choice and more, there are lots to choose from!
Caron Simply Soft is one of my favorite acrylic yarns, with a wide range of colors, no dye 
lots, lots of yardage, and great softness combined with durability. They don't have a Tangerine Tango colorway up just yet, but you can get close with Autumn Red!
Lily Sugar'n Cream is a kitchen cotton, and my house is full of it! Washcloths, cozies, toys for the kids - I love it's brightness, softness, and range, as well as it's price point! There is a great Tangerine colorway out right now that will let spice up your house on a budget.
Patons Classic Wool is a soft 100% wool worsted weight yarn that comes in tons of colors and is perfect for home accessories. Right now, with both Currant and Paprika, they are right on trend!
Hobby Lobby stores are springing up all over the country, and if you have one, you have to check out their exclusive I Love This Yarn. It's easy care acrylic in aran weight, and it gives great smoosh. I suggest you start with Terra Cotta!
