A few months ago I got an email from Chuck Kao, founder of Sussle.org. He told me about his site, and asked me to join up and help out with the Crochet channel! And now Sussle is sponsoring an Amazon Gift Card giveaway for Moogly readers!
What is Sussle?
I already knew a little bit about Sussle thanks to the participation of two of my favorite crochet bloggers - Oombawka Design and Crochet Concupiscence, both of whom are regular contributors. Sussle was founded by Chuck Kao in 2012, as a community curated site based on wikipedia topics. In other words, there's a board for just about everything! In addition to Crochet, I like to check out the Crafts page. You have to have Facebook to use Sussle, but once you're in you can contribute on whatever topic you like, and up vote (and down vote!) contributions from others. In addition to checking out all the great links, photos, and videos, contributing and voting can put you in the running for scholarships and cash prizes!
My Sussle Experience!
Sussle is very easy to use - there's even a 1 minute video showing how. I've been posting there on the Crochet topic almost every day for the last couple of months, and it's super simple. And it keeps getting easier - every week I notice new features and options to make it better and better. It's fun to see what other bloggers and contributors are adding too - I've discovered some great patterns there!
Ready to try Sussle for Yourself?
If you're ready to try Sussle, you can expect good things - lots of inspiration on your favorite topics, a chance to be part of a new website... and a chance to win an Amazon Gift Card! Think of all the craft supplies you could get with that! 😉 Just enter in the Rafflecopter form below - Chuck has put together a whole list of options for earning entries! You don't have to do them all to enter, but the more you do, the better your odds. The easiest way to sign up for an account is to try to rate or contribute something - that will bring up the window to register. Quick and easy!

I'll give it a try. Always looking for new crochet ideas.

Am I the only one who finds it to be an invasion of privacy when in order to view the sussle ideas I have to allow them to access my files and friends list? I do not want to take a chance on them annoying anyone on my friends list. I can find crochet patterns and ideas elsewhere without the privacy invasion. Not worth it to me.
Tamara Kelly
That's understandable Theresa! I think it happens anytime we use Facebook to connect to something else. It's certainly a personal decision each person has to make for themselves.

I was really ready to do this until I read the part about joining Facebook being mandatory. Sussle sounds great and if MOOGLY recommends it, it's got to be great, however I feel Sussle -Chuch Kao has made a terrible mistake hitching his work and efforts to Facebook.

Fair enough! I think your opinion is important, and not uncommon. The site is still rather new, and where things go remains to be seen!
