    The Super Stitch Works Software Giveaway on Moogly!

    Published: Oct 10, 2013 by Tamara Kelly · 41 Comments

    This giveaway has ended, thank you to all who entered! Congratulations to Barb S! If you're interested in purchasing your own copy of Stitch Works Software, please visit StitchWorksSoftware.com.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Recently I purchased my own copy of Stitch Works Software Crochet Charts for Moogly. It's a charting program that helps you make the universal crochet charts that are readable no matter what your language. And after talking to Brian Milco, the developer/software genius behind the program, he decided to giveaway a copy to one lucky Moogly reader!
    Awesome! Win your own full copy of Stitch Works Software on Moogly! Giveaway ends 10/15/2013 at 12am Eastern
    Since Moogly is international (and I only speak English well, and French like a 1 year old), I wanted to be able to offer my designs to as many people as possible. After playing with the Stitch Works Software for a while, I can say that I am still learning, but it's a good solid program. The stitch symbols are all there - 109 of them! - with their definitions, and they are scalable and rotatable too. There's even a free add on set of Tunisian stitches developed with Kim Guzman! You can grab, copy, and paste whole sections, and there's a wedge tool too for working in the round. I've been working on making the charts for the Moogly Crochet Alphabet, so I haven't played with the round part yet, but I do plan on it!
    Best of all, Brian is available to answer questions by email, and is working on improvements to the program all the time. All minor updates to the program are free, and I happen to know he's working on one right now! There's a full Trial Version available so you can try before you buy, and support for Windows XP, Vista, and 7, Mac OS X 10.6 - 10.8 (Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion), and Ubuntu Linux.
    It definitely takes some getting used to, and I'm still climbing the learning curve myself, but if you are a current or aspiring crochet designer, or just someone who wants to play around with crochet charts and symbols, Stitch Works Software's Crochet Charts is an invaluable tool to have! I'm so glad I've purchased my own copy, and am very pleased to be able to host a giveaway to provide one other person with their own!
    This giveaway is open internationally, to anyone with a valid email address. The giveaway ends 10/15/2013 at 12AM Eastern. The prize will be an emailed serial number which will allow you full access to all the features of the download you get from the Stitch Works Software site.
      Even if I don't win I'm so glad you ran this competition. I had no idea Stitchworks had a facebook page. I'm a big fan of the program, it's on my must have list, and I often turn to the trial version to sort out tricky pattern shaping even though I can't save them.
      In Poland, Europe we love to make crochet clothes and decorations. This software is a great opportunity to present others with easy to read patterns. It would help my best friend understand what I was trying to make and duplicate my ideas. I love your idea for the contest, I had no idea there was a software tool to chelp crocheting! Hope to be able to buy it from "the Old Continent" if I don't win 🙂
