I got to attend an amazing craft/DIY/lifestyle/food blogger and creative entrepreneur conference this past week - the SNAP Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah! I had a blast, learned a lot, and now I get to share it with all of you!
I hadn't heard of SNAP until late last year - but as soon as I heard of it, I wanted to go check it out! And I was lucky enough to get one of the limited number of tickets, thanks to CraftFoxes.
It was held at the gorgeous Little America Hotel, and featured some amazing sponsors! I took lots of photos, and did lots of Instagramming!
Personally, I was also sponsored by Lion Brand Yarn, and I got to hand out Lion Brand tape measures to the other bloggers I met! Everybody needs tape measures, and it was super fun to have goodies to share.
I met SO many people, and was particularly delighted to meet Marie from Underground Crafter, Bethany from Whistle and Ivy, Alexis from Persia Lou, Erica from 5 Little Monsters, and see my friend Jessie from Jessie at Home again. We even had an impromptu crochet party in my room - and I got to show off my OttLite LED Task Light!
The traveling to and from was an adventure, several flight delays, including an unexpected 24 hours in Denver - but I made the best of it!
What did I get out of it? I met some amazing crafters, ate some delicious food, and most importantly, I came home (eventually!) full of inspiration and ideas! And with a ton of fantastic swag, including some fun goodies and gorgeous earrings from my "Secret Sister" - a secret santa style gift program that's part of the SNAP Conference every year, and was a ton of fun!
I took some amazing classes, but my personal favorite was the class on ebooks - I learned so much! And I definitely am inspired to add ebooks to the Moogly lineup in the future. And while there were several fantastic speakers, Desiree from The 36th Avenue had me laughing, crying, and... there are no works, really. She was hands down the best speaker I've ever listened to, and if anyone reading this runs conferences or events, hire that lady immediately! As for the swag, gifts, and room drops... is there anything more fun than crafty presents??
Speaking of conference organizers, I have to give a shout out to Tauni Everett, who puts together this amazing conference - with a little help from some amazing people of course. It was a fantastic experience, and I'd certainly recommend it to any creative blogger/entrepreneur.

Watch the SNAP Conference website for updates about next year's conference, also to be held in beautiful Salt Lake City! I can't wait to use what I learned to make Moogly even better for all of you!
Get Moogly on your favorite social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr, and sign up for the free Newsletter so you don’t miss a thing! Thank you to Lion Brand Yarn and CraftFoxes for sponsoring my trip to SNAP!

Thanks for this recap, Tamara! It sounds like a blast! When you posted that crocheting fireplace photo in IG I didn't realize you were STUCK in Denver! I live like 15 minutes from there. You could have come crochet with me in front of my fireplace 😉
Ive also never heard of Craft Foxes. I'm going to check it out!
