Save Money on Yarn This Weekend! Crafty Coupon Roundup for 3/14/2013

I love buying yarn! So many possibilities, so many projects. If you love yarn too, you don't have to blow your whole paycheck on yarn - use this roundup of the weekly deals and coupons at the craft stores to save money and time this weekend!

Many of these sales only last through the weekend, so be sure to click on the name of the store for current prices if you’re shopping next week! Make sure too that you know your craft store policies – many take competitor’s coupons, and this can really pay off!

Michaels
On the site, enter your zip code to get the coupons for the store closest to you. This week I got a coupon for 40% off any regular price item. Be sure to check your receipts – there are usually coupons printed at the bottom. Michaels has a mobile app with coupons as well, so be sure to download that if you can. Sign up for the email newsletter, and Like Michaels on Facebook for more coupon opportunities.

Today kicks off their big 3 Day Yarn Event! This sale includes Loops & Threads Pom-Pom and Bunny Tail for $1.99; Caron Simply Soft, Lion Brand Vanna's Choice, Loops & Threads Impeccable and Charisma for $2.79; One Pound, Pound of Love, and Impeccable Big for $5.99; and Starbella for $5.99. There are also lots of yarns on Clearance, up to 50% off, with the promise of new yarns coming in June!

On the back of the current flyer there's a coupon for 40% off and one regular-priced item. Inside there's also a 40% off coupon for and one regular-priced Martha Stewart Crafts item - I'm not sure if that includes the Martha Stewart yarns or not. There are also usually flyers inside the front door of the store, so always check the basket on your way in.

When you get the results, click on “More Store Information” and a link to a coupon will pop up. On the website there is a coupon for 40% off any one item that is good through March 16th, and an online only coupon code for free shipping with a $50 purchase, good through March 16th as well. When shopping online you can get also 40% Off the Regular Price of One Item at Joann.com ( Code:AE757 ) – which expires March 16th too. Hobby Lobby has the usual printable coupon for 40% off any regularly priced item. There are an iPhone app and a new Android app that include the same 40% off coupon and ad info, and also have a feature that let you check gift card balances. You can now get the same savings on your non-Apple/Android smart phones by visiting m.hobbylobby.com and showing the cashier the coupon on your phone.

On sale through March 9th, you'll find I Love This Yarn for $3.66 and Coats Classic Crochet Thread for $2.22.

Craftsy
Craftsy currently ships to the USA and Canada only, but they promise to resume International shipping options soon. If you are in the US or Canada, they’ve got free shipping for orders over $100. They also offer online crochet classes.

There are over 50 yarns on sale at Craftsy right now, at up to 65% off! The most popular ones on sale this week include Cascade Cash Vero Aran, Crystal Palace Taos, Wisdom Yarns Poems Sock, Cascade Heritage Silk Paints, Malabrigo Rastita, and Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica. The flyer at ACMoore for this weekend lists Red Heart Super Saver 2 for $5; Pound of Love and Bernat Baby Big Ball (great for the One Hour Bunny Hat!) for $5.99; and Red Heart Boutique Midnight, Treasure, and Unforgettable for $3.99.
