On my trip to this year's Knit and Crochet Show in Manchester New Hampshire, I got the chance to meet Laurinda Reddig - and she quickly went from acquaintance to friend... And then I realized that she was the author of the book that was next on my crochet wishlist! Reversible Color Crochet promises to teach a new technique to create completely reversible color work - and it delivers!

Laurinda's work first caught my eye - and they eye of many! - when she won the CGOA 2011 People's Choice Award and 1st place in Afghans with her reversible Mystery Machine blanket! A true work of crochet art and skill.
And then she blew us all away again, winning the Grand Prize in 2012 with her reversible vest! While in Manchester, I got a chance to see the vest first hand, and it's even more beautiful in person.
So you can imagine how excited I was to learn her techniques! I got a chance to learn the most basic one during a Make & Take at the conference, but that was just the start. Now I have the book, and it's everything I'd hoped!
Reversible Color Crochet includes the entire collection of clever color changing techniques that Laurinda has invented, as well as 28 different blocks, and 10 different afghan patterns! There are super cute baby and kid blankets, but also gorgeous quilt-inspired blankets worthy of instant heirloom status.
I love the way Laurinda's mind works, and chatting with her, her excitement for crochet is contagious! I know that her techniques are going to revolutionize color changes in crochet - this is a fantastic spin on the usual methods for tapestry type crochet, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
Reversible Color Crochet is an fantastic addition to my crochet library - and now I want to add it to yours! Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway form below to enter, or you can purchase a copy right now at the following links if you don't want to take any chances (or if you got here after the giveaway is over)!

Sorry about that - I updated the form!
Granny Jo
What IS reversible crochet?
Tamara Kelly
Excellent question Granny Jo! Basically, in this case it means that when you flip the work over, it looks the same. This is easy to do with a "regular" blanket, where each row is the basically the same, but in colorwork like what's used here, normally there is a right side and a wrong side. With these techniques, both sides are perfect! 😀 I've seen one of the finished blankets and a couple of the squares in person, and you really can't tell the sides apart - it's amazing!

From my smartphone I cannot paste the tweet link 🙁

Sorry about that Eleonora! Smartphones don't always play nice. But as long as you got your email in there you should be entered!

I too am very anxious to learn this type of crochet. I just recently tried to do a graphghan and it was horrible! I had so many balls of yarn hanging and when I looked at 5 rows done...it looked like crap so I quit it. Thinking maybe this way might make it easier for me. Not sure though. Will keep trying! I've crocheted for a very ling time...just not like this ever.
And....thanks so much for the giveaway reminder on Facebook. I had forgotten to enter previously. I'm in now though.
Good Luck Everyone!
