After making the Shroom hat last week, I had a bit of yarn left over. Not a lot, but enough that I thought I could pull off something small. So, I did some Rav pattern searching, and came across the mochi neck cozy. To make it a better match for the Shroom hat, I changed the pattern repeats to:
Odd Rows: p2, *k1, p1; repeat from * to last two sts, p to end
Even Rows: k2, *p1, k1; repeat from * to last two sts, k to end
I also had only one button available right then, so I dropped the first and third button holes and just worked those rows like the rest. Et voila!

It's got amazing stretch and will be perfect tucked under a coat collar on chilly days. It used just a little bit of yarn, so don't let those skein ends sit - you've almost always got enough to make something great!
