The Offset Mesh stitch pattern can be done in a couple of different ways, but I think the simplest is to start with an odd number of chains – any number you like. Then, skip the 6 chs closest to the hook, dc in the next ch, and then ch 1, skip 1, dc in the next chain on down the row.
For Row 2, you ch 3 for the first dc, dc in the next ch sp, and then go back to ch 1, skip the next st, dc in the next ch sp on across – until you get to the end and dc in the top of the 2nd ch from the last dc st.
Row 3 starts with a ch 4, which counts as a dc and ch 1, then you dc in the next ch sp, then go back to ch 1, skip the next st, dc in the next ch sp on across. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you’re done!
Easy as can be! I hope you’ve enjoyed the Offset Mesh stitch pattern tutorial! Thanks so much for watching!

To Tamara Kelly, I just have to say again that your Autumn Sunset infinity scarf if still my favorite stitch pattern! I make it sometime right by your pattern and sometimes change it up by using triple crochet stitches instead of double and half double instead of single! I wished I could send you a pic of the lady scarf I made using your stitch pattern. It’s made out of Australian Mohair with a size 10mm hook, then I added fringe! Your stitch is my most requested scarf. I never tire of making them. Right now I’m using a size 7mm hook and Viscose textured yarn. I admire your work so much! Thx again for your inspiration! Donna
