I got to check out Modern Baby Crochet: 18 Crocheted Baby Garments, Blankets, Accessories, and More by Sharon Zientara – and I get to give away TWO copies to Moogly readers!

Looking through Modern Baby Crochet it was hard to pick a favorite pattern – they are all adorable! From the sweet little sweaters to the octopus rattle and hedgehog hat, to the teeny tiny slippers, there is a great variety of baby patterns to choose from. And they all use 3 skeins of yarn or less!
But choose I must! At least, which one to make first. So I went with the Finley the Fox Bib, by Lisa Van Klaveren – I just love foxes! I used Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in Tangerine, Ecru, and Cafe Au Lait, and I think it turned out pretty darn cute!
Of course I didn’t have time to make every pattern in the book, but I can tell you that the pattern I made, and the ones I read over, were all easy to understand, clearly written, with all the info needed for a successful project.
Modern Baby Crochet boasts a fantastic lineup of designers for these projects: Brenda K. B. Anderson, Anastasia Popova, Janet Brani, A la Sacha, Kathy Merrick, Sharon Zientara, Cristina Mershon, Robyn Chachula, Terri L. Keller, Lisa Van Klaveren, and Katya Novikova. Each contributed one of more designs for a book that’s both cohesive and varied!
