I first learned about Kreinik while at this past summer's TNNA, and I've been having so much fun with their products ever since!
The people at the Kreinik booth were so nice - and knowledgeable and fun! So I was excited to learn more about their products.
Kreinik offers carry along threads - well, at least that's how crocheters and knitters use them. You could also use them to embroider finished items! Hold the Kreinik thread along with your yarn, and you can add all kinds of fun throughout the project.
They have a huge variety of metallic threads, to add sparkle and shine! Here are just a few:
And reflective thread too - make ANY yarn reflective in flash! Here it is with some Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick:
And the one I've been playing with this week.... glow in the dark!! I used the white one (and you'll see that pattern soon!), here are some of the other colors:
If you've ever worked with yarn held doubled, then this is the same thing. And if you're using most yarns above a lace weight, you don't even need to change hook sizes, as it's not thick enough to make a difference - but it sure will make a difference in the way the finished project looks!
The glow in the dark threads are such a fun touch, particularly for kids items. And the reflective threads can help add a little bit of safety to their Halloween costumes this year too. And ooo, the sparkle... I know just what I'll be using one of these for too!
So head on over to the Kreinik website, and check out all the super fun stuff they have on offer! You might be surprised what the addition of a little thread can do!

How different is this from their blending filament they already make for cross stitch and embroidery? Is closer to the weight of a yarn?

The Twist is very thin, like sewing thread - I imagine it can be used for embroidery as well!
