Knits for Boys by Kate Oates features fantastic patterns for little boys – and I can certainly see little girls loving them too! And I’m excited to be giving away a copy on Moogly!
Knits for Boys includes 27 patterns, from cardigans and pullovers to socks, mittens, caps, suspenders and bow ties! There are lots of different styles featured, and they are all super cool looking! Kate knows for whom she designs – all of them have been tested by her own crew of 4 lively boys – and their friends!
In fact, there’s quite a few I could see not only my little guys wearing, but my big guy too! But boys are the focus here, and this book is perfect for those who knit for them. Not only are the designs appealing, but there’s a lot of time and thought that have gone into how to create garments that they can wear year after year. Dealing with growth spurts, planning for them in fact – these are very smart designs!
I didn’t have a lot of time to try them out, but I did sit down and work on a simplified bow tie. And I learned new things already! This book will be fun for adventurous beginners as well as more experienced knitters. It’s available at the following affiliate links: Amazon US; Amazon UK; Amazon Canada…
And this week I get to do a giveaway! This giveaway is sponsored by the publisher, Stackpole Books, and is open to US residents only. The giveaway ends 3/31/15 at 12:15am Central US time.
