I do so love a good crochet hook - and a great case to keep them in! And the Knit Picks crochet hooks and case definitely qualify - so I'm giving away a set right here on Moogly!

The Knit Picks Crochet Hooks and Case Set features:
- 9 Crochet Hooks with easy-to-grip handles and light aluminum hooks
- Stylish vinyl case, in 5 colors, with a cotton/poly interior flap features 9 slits per side insert and zippered pockets
- Case Measures 6″x8″inches closed
- Hooks are approx 5″ in Length

I've used the hooks, and they are very comfortable, with both a knife grip and a pencil grip. There's a flattened portion for the thumb for knife-grippers, but it's not so flattened as to cause trouble for pencil-grippers. The handles aren't sticky or slippery, just pleasantly grippy. Almost like a fresh pink pencil eraser!

The case is fantastic. It's large - no getting around that. But it can hold a lot more than just the hooks! There's a "page" in the middle with hook slots on both sides, so you can add more hooks in your favorite sizes/shapes. And the inside of the front and back "covers" have zipper pouches big enough to hold notions, paper patterns, and more!

I could REALLY use a whole set of these comfortable crochet hooks. I currently have one side I and it's so much easier on arthritic hands!
Cat says
Out of curiosity, do you prefer this sort of ergonomic hook with the grippy handle, or do you prefer the shape and weight of Furls?
Tamara Kelly says
I'm honestly pretty comfortable with any hook you stick in my hand. Which hook I choose to work with from day to day is usually a technical decision that depends a lot on the yarn I'm using and the effect I'm going for. I find I crochet more relaxed and open with a wooden Furls hook, and more tightly with a plain aluminum hook or flat hook, and somewhere in between with the Furls Odyssey hooks and this hook style. I like to use wood with wool, and metal with cotton, and pewter or plastic with synthetics. I have a huge collection of different types of hooks, and while I don't use the plain aluminum very often, I do tend to jump around depending on the effect I'm going for.
