I am very happy I found Moogly just a few weeks ago and I am looking forward to doing the CAL. I have been going through all my yarn and getting organized and have several tangled to gather. I was wondering if anyone has a better method then sitting for hours untangling the mess. It is too much yarn to just throw a way.
      Happy New Year !!!

I have watched several movies and tv show. I am on my last yarn ball. I so far have untangled
11 balls of yarn. Most not to very large thankfully. s

Hi Katherine, Happy New year. I roll mine in balls as I go along, and the small balls I put together in baggies. The larger ones I fasten the ends with Bobby pins which I use as stitch markers and that keeps them from unrolling. I put them in larger baggies. Hope this works for you.

Yes. I will be trying the bobby pin idea. I have spent the past two days untangling yarn. That is when I was not building with legos and my 6 year old.

I know the feeling. LOL My hubby purposely tangles my yarn because it keeps me "quiet for hours" he says. HA

As someone who has ALWAYS wanted to learn to crochet I wanted to say THANKS! Your site and tutorials have been a blessing in helping me to learn. I always go to Moogly first. I voted for you in the Flamies. 🙂 Happy 2015!
I have a quick question, are the CAL easiest enough for a beginner? Thanks!

Thank you so much Crystal! I really appreciate it! 😀 The CAL will have some intermediate stitches I'm sure, but one of the great things about a CAL is that it's a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills! Joining the Ravelry group is a great way to have others making the pattern "with" you who can answer any questions. 🙂

      Hi,
Just discovered Moogly recently and want to join along with the 2015 CAL. Any approximation on how much yarn is needed? I've been stumbling around the blog and haven't found that, just thought it would be easier to ask. Noticed last year you purchased 24 skeins, 6 ea/4 colors. About the same then more or less?
      Thank you!

Hi Carrie! Welcome! 😀 I ended up buying an extra two last year for joining, so this year I went with 26. 🙂

What's the other CAL besides the afghan? Or is it a secret? 🙂
