When i was a baby, i was given a handmade blanket by someone ive never met to this day. I'm 28 years old and still sleep with it :X! Its my most treasured and favorite handmade item, and now that i've learned to crochet, my appreciation has only grown. I only wish i could thank the person who made it, they have no idea how much it means to me.

My favorite handmade gift was an afghan we received as a wedding gift. It was made up of wide strips with beautifully cross stitched flowers on them, which were joined together with an open work crochet design. I didn't realize until years later when I learned Tunisian crochet, that the wide strips with the cross stitch flowers on them were crocheted not knitted.

My most precious gift received was a "prayer quilt" that my sister's church women made me when I was very ill a few years ago. Each time they formed a knot in the quilt a prayer was raised to,God for me. And, He did answer! I came through a very difficult time by His mercy and because so many people were praying for me.

My favorite handmade gift was a small Christmas wallhanging quilt with charms that I received from a friend who had been my neighbor in OK before I married and moved. A very special and cherished gift! Also, my mother sewed all my clothing while I was growing up and I have kept a few pieces as keepsakes.

I love any homemade gifts. All I can think of right now is the picture my grandson colored colored for me. On the back he signed: Love, Darth Vader
      I Love Him!

My favourite gift is a bright red cardigan made by my nanna to cheer me up when I was feeling gloomy and it still cheers me up every time I wear it (nearly 20 years later!)

The best handmade gift I have received is a crocheted lace angel that we use as a tree topper at Christmas. Now that my mom has passed, it means even more to me.

A few yrs ago I was given a stills and video camera, I'd say that would have to be one of my faves as I make crochet videos for my friends.

Well the camera and chocolate and yarn!

My most favorite hand made gift would be the snowman figure my 3boys made for me. The are all grown men now. They made the snowman out of scrap wood when they were 12,10, and 6. I treasure it because they made it just for me

My favorite handmade gift I received was from my husband on our first Valentine's day dating...he had kept all kinds of ticket stubs from movies, the zoo, hockey games and pasted them onto a front of a folder and wrote a nice note on the inside!

I have so many favorites, it's hard to choose. The quilt that my mother made me when I was a child. The jacket that an aunt knit for my son when he was born. All the Christmas tree ornaments that my children have made. They are all special!
