My Peek Inside Fantasy Crochet
When I started paging through Fantasy Crochet, the first thing I noticed was the adorable styling you'll find throughout - not just the photos of the author in her creations, but the fonts and page decor set the scene.

The next thing is the "Note on Sizing." This book doesn't feature patterns written in multiple sizes - but it isn't all for a size small either! All the garments in Fantasy Crochet are "made to measure, which means there are no fixed sizes or standard numbers to follow. Instead, each pattern is designed to work with your unique measurements, allowing you to create a custom fit that works perfectly for your body."

So each pattern includes instructions on which measurements you'll need, and how to adjust as you go for a perfect fit. Usually only one measurement is needed, so don't let this intimidate you - rather, know that you'll be able to make something to fit your body, just the way you like.

While this book includes patterns from beginner to experienced, most are in the advanced beginner to intermediate range. I read through a few, and they are well-written and clear to understand. She makes the custom sizing easy to follow and not at all overwhelming.

One of the things I really like about this book is how Jessica shows us the versatility of these pieces. She shows off the complete fantasy outfits for each section of patterns, but then also breaks up the pieces and mixes and matches them with more "regular" clothing to show how you can integrate these items into your everyday outfits. Magical indeed!
