"Crochet Wraps Every Which Way" Review & Giveaway!

Published: Jan 30, 2014 by Tamara Kelly · 20 Comments

Win a copy of "Crochet Wraps Every Which Way" on Moogly! Giveaway ends 2/4/2014 at 12am Eastern time. Continental US only. Good luck everybody! #crochet #giveawayRecently I had the privilege of interviewing Tammy Hildebrand about her newest book, Crochet Wraps Every Which Way (click here for the interview)! It was so much fun to talk to someone I've admired for years, and to pick her brain a bit about the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA). And lucky me, I also got my own copy of Crochet Wraps Every Which Way to review here for you today - and one to give away too! Read on to see what I think - though I got my copy for free, all opinions are my own. And then enter to win a copy of your own!

Tammy Hildebrand is the Vice President of the CGOA, and has been designing for 17 years. She has over 30 books and magazines on her resume, and is quite the crochet master!

Crochet Wraps Every Which Way is Tammy's latest book, and it features 18 brand new patterns, using 6 different Win a copy of "Crochet Wraps Every Which Way" on Moogly! Giveaway ends 2/4/2014 at 12am Eastern time. Continental US only. Good luck everybody! #crochet #giveawaycrochet techniques. Each technique has a full photo tutorial, and 3 patterns to try it out on.

All of the patterns are wraps and shawls (hence the name), and each one is super unique! Not every wrap will be to every taste, but I know I found several that caught my eye right away!

The yarns used in the patterns come from a variety of companies, and each has been matched with the pattern to give the best possible result. For those who need to substitute yarn brands, there's no information on yarn weight given - but a quick trip to Ravelry to look up the yarn database takes care of that.

Win a copy of "Crochet Wraps Every Which Way" on Moogly! Giveaway ends 2/4/2014 at 12am Eastern time. Continental US only. Good luck everybody! #crochet #giveawayWhile normally I'm not a huge fan of "how to crochet" sections in the back of every book, in this case they are very welcome! In addition to traditional crochet, Crochet Wraps Every Which Way includes instructions for join-as-you-go motifs, hairpin lace, broomstick lace, Tunisian crochet, and double-ended crochet - something new for almost everyone to learn! The photos are big and bright, and make it all seem very doable.

The patterns are all one size, and as wraps that will work out fine for the majority of people. If you have any worries, the finished measurements are included so you can figure out if you need to make any adjustments.Win a copy of "Crochet Wraps Every Which Way" on Moogly! Crochet Wraps Every Which Way is a fantastic addition to my crochet library, and I'm super excited to have it at my fingertips! You can buy your own copy on Amazon (affiliate link), or you can enter to win your own copy in the giveaway below!

This giveaway is open to residents of the continental United States only. The giveaway ends 02/04/2014 at 12AM Eastern. The prize will be mailed by the sponsor, Stackpole Books.
    Congratulations to the winner, Denise!

Those wraps are gorgeous! I live in Hawaii so heavy wraps aren't needed most of the year so it's nice to see some lighter wraps that would be nice to use out on the town or even to go to the beach!

Oh no! It seems to be working now - maybe a hiccup? Or if you take "too long" reading the review you might need to refresh the page - the widget times out sometimes if it judges that the page has been sitting too long.

I'm sorry Gigi, those are the restrictions the publisher gave me, it's not my decision.
