Inside Crochet Cute Forest Friends
This book has been out for a couple of years now, and I did a review and giveaway back then. But while cleaning up my office, I realized somehow I ended up with two copies! So I decided to share and give away one to one very lucky winner!
Crochet Cute Forest Friends is broken into 5 sections: Forest Floor Friends, Treetop Dwellers, Riverside Animals and Insects, Nocturnal Critters, and then there's a bonus - a Treehouse Scene!
Each animal is created using basic stitches and shapes, and sewing is minimized in these patterns.
There's a great intro section with tips on everything from hooks to yarn to safety eyes, followed by a visual crochet stitch dictionary. The pages on Finishing Techniques are particularly great and full of important info!
Each of the patterns in Crochet Cute Forest Friends includes the materials list, size, and written instructions. There are lots of great closeup photos to help, and stitch counts are included - love that! The written instructions follow the standard crochet pattern writing format, which makes them easy to read - and means you can start here and take your crochet skills on to any project!
Overall, I think Crochet Cute Forest Friends is a fabulous book, and the number of patterns is wonderful! They're all adorable! This is a great addition to your crochet book library, sure to come in handy for all sorts of occasions and holidays!
