While the patterns are broken into chapters, they aren't in any particular order - and while the first may be the easiest, Brooke encourages you to jump in anywhere!
While specific sizes are given for each blanket and throw, stitch multiple information is also included so you can customize them as needed!
Each pattern includes great notes and tips to maximize your success - including closeup photos. A variety of yarns and yarn weights are featured, and substitutions are encouraged!
While Brooke is from the UK, all descriptions and abbreviations in this book
use US terminology, rather than British. However, I would not say that most of the instructions are written in the "standard format."
Instead, these instructions are written out in a much more simplified format - extremely beginner-friendly! Here's an example pulled right from the book, to give you an idea:
"Row 6
Sc into each stitch across for a total of 50 stitches. At the end of the row, leave a tail,
cut one strand of yarn and attach color 2 yarn with a knot (change color with one strand only).
Ch 2 and turn."
So even new crocheters will be able to explore every pattern in this book - though a couple of YouTube tutorials might be needed for new techniques.
