Foundation stitches are a great way to start many crochet projects - and you don't have to have a simple first row to use them! Today, I'll share the latest Moogly news on Facebook, and then I'll head over to YouTube so I can show you how to combine crochet foundation stitches, and answer your foundation stitch questions!

I love starting a pattern with foundation stitches - whether it's single crochet, half double crochet, or double crochet. It creates great stretch, looks fab, and it's so much easier than counting out a bunch of chains and then working into them!
But what about patterns that use a combination of stitches in the first row? You can do that too! Switch between foundation single crochet, foundation half double crochet, foundation double crochet and beyond easily all in one row - I'll show you how!
