What is a Fork Blocking Pin?

Clover Fork Blocking Pins are U-shaped pins that can be used in a variety of ways. Popular with quilters and sewists for seaming and piece-work, they are also great for blocking your crochet and knitting!

These pins are sturdy and very sharp, but it's the U shape and the bend that sets these pins apart!

    Why Are They So Handy

I find that the U makes the pin easier to handle, with a larger area to grip than most pins. And unlike T-pins, the smooth shape means you won't accidentally snag your clothes while pinning out your project!

And that shape has another benefit - you're blocking two points at once, so you can block even faster! In addition, this makes the pinning more secure. Then, you can turn the pin sideways for sharp picots and corners.

These pins come in a handy little case, but I have a few sets of Clover Fork Blocking Pins in my blocking kit, so I keep them in a reusable plastic container so they are easy to grab and use. And I use them a lot!

I currently use T-pins and I've had issues with snagging from time to time. These fork-blocking pins look like they would be so much better than the T-pins.

I use t pins and they do get snagged on my project. What a great idea! Also the fact that you can pin 2 points at a time, oh, it's a win-win to me. I definitely will be trying these pins. Thank you Tamara!
