BLOCK #6: More V's Please by Melinda Miller

This pattern is another one that was initially designed to be all one color, and it's very lovely that way. But you have GOT to check out the Ravelry Gallery (CLICK HERE)! Color can make this one pattern look like a dozen different patterns - it's all in where you put the color changes! Once again, I used four colors on my version, seen below. I came up just a tiny bit under 12" with the pattern as written, but working the last row in double crochet instead of half double crochet brought it up to size!

Awesome! I have that in my Ravelry library and intended to add it if you didn't. 🙂

Woot! Love this square 🙂

I'm a little behind on the crochet-along, but I know I will love beginning this one once I'm caught up. I like the zigzag effect of all those V stitches. I do love how your color version turned out, Tamara, so not sure which way to go now...before I looked at today's post, I was sort of committed to the idea that my Block 6 would be in solids only. Hmm! Really pretty--it's sure to be a good choice either way.

Wow, it is SO amazing how different one square can look just by using a different color! All one solid color you get a vintage melody, you bright colors give it a spring ring. . . . I could go all day analyzing each square 🙂 I'll spare you and just say that I REALLY love this block.
. . . . Wonder what colors I'll do my block in . . . .
Tamara Kelly
😀 Glad you do Carrie!

What an excellent choice Tamara! I'm really enjoying learning new stitches, and the V stitch is becoming one of my favorites. Can't wait to get started on #6. Thanks for all you do for us.

The Vs in this pattern kind of remind me of your Loopy Love Blanket... 🙂
A very pretty pattern! I'm off to check out the gallery now...

Is it possible to post when you changed colors for the squares that don't specify? My mom and I love some of the color orders and patterns that you have done and would love to know exactly when you changed colors. Thanks!!
