In addition to the lovely gift, you'll need 2 colors of yarn (Lion Brand Vanna's Choice shown), a sharp pair of small scissors, a green "chenille stem" (what we called pipe cleaners growing up), and a Clover Pom Pom Maker! Get your own at Clover USA, Amazon US, Amazon CA, Amazon UK, or Amazon DE.
STEP 1: Holding your two colors of yarn together, wind a large pom pom using a Clover Pom Pom Maker - CLICK HERE for a step by step tutorial. Before closing the second set of arms, insert a chenille stem as shown below.
STEP 2: Cut and tie off the pom pom, keeping the arms closed while cutting and tying. This will enclose the chenille stem inside the pom pom.
STEP 3: Fold the halves of the chenille stem together, and using your fingers, shape them into leaves.
STEP 4: You can add a dab of glue to secure the ends of the chenille stems if desired, but it's optional and not shown here. Attach to your gift, and be the best guest at the party!
