Second only to my love for making Craftsy classes is my love for taking them! And one class that’s been at the top of my list for the past year is Professional Finishing for Perfect Crochet, taught by Linda Permann. Well, I finally was able to set aside some time to watch – and I enjoyed every minute!

You can check out Professional Finishing for Perfect Crochet on Craftsy, or you can read my review first – and then check it out! Because in my book, this class is a must watch for every crocheter.
You don’t have to be a professional to learn from Professional Finishing. Just someone who wants their crochet items to look their absolute best! This class goes over all the stuff you won’t see written into patterns – but it will make all the difference in the finished project!
Linda Permann, author, teacher, and fantastic person in general, teaches things in this class that will make your finished projects look like the ones in the magazines. Right off the bat she teaches you how to get straighter edges – without frogging!
She also teaches another way to handle the ch-3 gap that I’d never seen before (but is absolutely brilliant), and how to make linked stitches in the round – a definite “V8 moment” for me!
She also goes over the guidelines for working into the edge…
and how to make better colorwork – and how to give it polish! There’s also a series of absolutely fantastic lessons on blocking – why, how, when to use each type. This is invaluable information!
She also goes over advanced blocking, including how to use blocking wires – and now they are on my shopping list!
And one of my favorite lessons was the one on seaming for garments – a must watch before you make your first seamed garment! SO helpful!
And if you’re in the Moogly Crochet Along, she also talks about seaming for squares! And the topics keep coming. Linda shares a lot about button bands – how to make the holes in several styles, and how to space them evenly too.
She also covers how to attach buttons, both sewing and with crochet stitches, and the scariest one of all…. cutting your crochet! It’s more useful than you might think!
Finally, Linda teaches all about grafting – adding pieces to the length when you need the stitches to go in a certain direction, and can’t just go “center out.” This can save you hours – if not days! – of work.
Professional Finishing for Perfect Crochet ups the confidence level by 100%, making the tough seem easy. It’s a fantastic watch for any skill level, and I highly recommend it. Linda is a fantastic teacher, and I always learn so much when I watch her.
So if you want to make your crochet look better and expand your finishing skills, be sure to enroll in Professional Finishing for Perfect Crochet today! Like all Craftsy classes, you can watch at your own pace, as many times as you want – and this is one you’ll want to refer to again and again!
