A Brighter Holiday with an OttLite Giveaway on Moogly!

Published: Dec 11, 2014 by Tamara Kelly · 59 Comments

I've been drooling over the OttLite lamps for years, but hadn't yet pulled the trigger on a purchase - it was so hard to decide which one! So when I was contacted by the OttLite company and asked if I'd like to do a review and giveaway for one of their lamps, I jumped at the chance! And I'm so glad I did!

OttLite Floor Lamp Giveaway on Moogly! US only, ends 12/18/14, see post for details!

Even though it was *still* hard to pick just one, I finally came to a decision - the OttLite 18W Sewing Floor Lamp with Accessory Tray. When I crochet or knit, I like to get comfy on the couch, so I wanted a floor lamp that I could adjust and focus on my work, without disturbing the TV-watchers around me. The adjustable neck and shade are just right!

And while I don't do a whole lot of sewing these days, the accessory tray is just as great for crocheters! The tall cup is perfect for hooks, and the little divided sections hold a tape measure, yarn needles, stitch markers - everything you need! And they won't get lost between the couch cushions!

And the light itself is perfect. Colors are more accurate under an OttLite, which is super important to me. And working with dark colored yarn is SO much easier now! I was afraid I'd have to stop crocheting with the darker blues, purples, and blacks, but now I can see them clearly!

Another thing I love is the heavy, sturdy base. With a 20 lb puppy running around - not to mention 3 kids - I needed something that wasn't going to get knocked over. This lamp fits the bill!

I love lamp - and I love OttLite! So I'm super excited to giveaway an OttLite 18W Sewing Floor Lamp with Accessory Tray to one very lucky Moogly reader! Due to the various electrical systems in different countries, OttLite can only ship this one to USA entries. This giveaway ends December 18, 2014 at 12:15am Central time. Only the email entry is mandatory - all other options on the Rafflecopter form below are for bonus entries!

I have to second your enthusiasm about Ott-Lites. While I don't have this model (I have the one with the magnifier that converts from desk to floor lamp), it is probably one of the best crafting gifts I ever gave myself! Nicely weighted so it doesn't tip, bendable neck to aim the light right where you need it, and fabulous true color. It makes even working with dark colored yarns or tiny hooks a much easier task. If you don't have one of these, you should definitely try to win one. They are so worth it even at full-price!
