I wanted to know how to knit as a kid - and how to crochet, how to macrame, how to embroider - I've been crazy for the fiber arts forever! It wasn't until I was in my 30s that I finally learned to crochet - from a video for kids! But looking at Susan B. Anderson's Kids' Knitting Workshop I think this book might have been an even better option!
Kids' Knitting Workshop is the perfect book for kids who want to learn to knit - and adults too, if you ask me! There are detailed instructions, drawings, and tons of information included - as well as 17 knit patterns that start easy peasy and gradually add skills as you go!
And I have to mention the spiral binding! I love love love when instructional books come spiral bound - and when it's for kids, it's even more important! This book is well put together, sturdy and solid. They've thought of everything!
So I would absolutely recommend this book - for kids, for grown ups, for anyone at all who want to learn to knit! Who doesn't appreciate clear, simple instructions and helpful advice?
