Lion Brand Heartland Thick & Quick Giveaway!

Published: Jan 11, 2016 by Tamara Kelly · 39 Comments

This past Friday I shared my latest pattern: the Moroccan Basket. And now I get to give one lucky winner the yarn to make their own, in the latest giveaway on Moogly!

Win 4 skeins of Lion Brand Heartland Thick & Quick - you choose the colors! Open to US residents, ends 1-18-16 at 12:15am

One winner will receive 4 skeins of Lion Brand Heartland Thick & Quick, in their choice of colors. For the basket you need two skeins each of two colors, but you don't have to use the same colors I did of course!

Heartland Thick & Quick is a fantastic yarn - a super bulky "6", 100% acrylic, with rich heathered shades, it's great for fast chunky projects. And I had a lot of fun using it  myself!

So let's get to the giveaway! The Lion Brand Heartland Thick & Quick Giveaway is open to US residents age 18 or older, and ends January 18, 2016, at 12:15am CST. To enter, use the Rafflecopter form below. If you are on mobile and have difficulty entering, please use a desktop computer to enter. Only the email option is mandatory – all other options are optional, for bonus entries only.

I already intended to look for this yarn today, I want to make several of these baskets! I want to organize some of my yarn and upcoming projects in them. I can't wait to start it. There is just not enough time in the day to crochet as much as I want to. I spend hours on end looking for patterns. I am addicted!

I thought this basket was awesome so I went in search of the yarn. I couldn't find it, so ended up using Homespun Extra Bulky yarn instead. It turned out very well. Then I got the idea to use 2 strands of size 4 worsted weight yarn. It works well also. Since I got this pattern last week I have made 5 baskets. I am making them in shades of pink and shades of blue to use for baby gifts. I just fill them with diapers, wipes, rattles, etc. They make an awesome gift! Thank you so much for the pattern. Also, using double strand worsted helps keep the cost down so you can spend more to fill the basket for a gift.
