When I went to the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show earlier this year, one of the exhibitors was Deflecto. Which granted, sounds nothing like craft supplies. But when I passed by their booth I was drawn in - because they are all about amazing storage solutions, which *are* perfect for craft supplies! So when they offered me some to review, I jumped at the chance - and finally found a home for all that little stuff we need at craft time!

The product that really caught my eye was the Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer and Compartments. This system includes hard plastic bins in 3 sizes, as well as caddies that the bins fit in - which stack! So cool!

But it's not just the caddies! There are also Wall Mounting Bars - which make it all into a hugely interchangeable, endlessly useful, and super fantastic storage system. The wall mounts hold the compartments in any configuration, so you can mix and match and switch out the compartments in your caddies to go - or leave them on the wall right where you need them!
Bonus - the spacing on the wall mount holes are perfect for peg boards! All I added to the kit was washers and nuts from the hardware store, and I was able to install them right in the peg board holes, so if and when we move house, we'll be all set to take them with us (and no holes in the wall to patch).
Deflecto actually started out as a baseboard vent deflector manufacturer of all things - hence the name. (And wow do those bring back some cozy memories for me!) Eventually, they expanded into store displays - and those were so great, people demanded them for home use - and here we are full circle!
So far I've got my Kreinik carry along threads, washi tape, and beads sorted, with lots more little things soon to find a home in these handy bins!
So you can store the bins on the wall, then mix and match them within the caddies to create your on-the-go craft kit. And because one caddy is never enough... they stack! Just clip the grey bits of the handle into the caddy on top, et voila - add more and more and more!
Of course, the more caddies you stack, the heavier it gets.... but there's a solution for that too! Just add Stack 'N Go Wheeled Caddy Base to the bottom of your caddy stack and wheel it wherever you want it to go:

Oh my goodness....While I have my craft storage (mostly) in-hand, my makeup storage is deep in the weeds. This may actually be a possible solution, depending on price...
