Crochet Leg Warmers for babies and children are great! For babies they keep little knees warm while allowing for easy diaper changes, and protect delicate knees when they’re learning to crawl! Once they’ve grown a bit leg warmers are a must for budding ballet dancers, as well as any child who insists on wearing dresses and shorts into the chill of fall. And they just look good! Today I’ve collected 10 great free crochet leg warmers patterns. Most of these patterns have both baby and toddler sizes, and sometimes even child sizes – as well as info on how to change the size!

You do darling work. I ride a motorcycle and I can’t wait to make myself some leg, warmers for our winter travels [ and yes we prefer to travel in freezing, snow blowing white outs]. We’re not weird [maybe] but we just detest the heat.
Looking forward to seeing more of your patterns
Sincerely,
Dena and David Mitton

I’ve made #3 in a creamy white/sky blue mix softer yarn. I made them for a 2 year old, along with a slouch beanie, but have yet to gift them! They’re really cute and crocheted up quick! I hope they fit! 🙂

Tamara Kelly
The download is working fine for me – you do need to have a (free) Ravelry account to download it.
